The Argentine National Team is all set for a new beginning. With the squad already gathered at the facility that the Argentine Football Association (AFA) has in Ezeiza, Lionel Scaloni's team is preparing for a series of three friendlies, and the organization has confirmed the times for each of the matches.
The debut of this series will be on Wednesday, September 30, when the Albiceleste faces Bolivia at 21:00 at the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium in Córdoba. The activity will continue on Saturday, October 3, again starting at 21:00 with the match against Burkina Faso at the Monumental Stadium. Finally, on Tuesday, October 6, at 20:00, the national team will face Benin in Núñez, in the match that will mark the farewell of Lionel Messi from the National Team.
For this FIFA date, Scaloni will have 35 summoned players, a number that will allow him to distribute minutes, evaluate players, and advance with the renewal of the squad for the next World Cup cycle. The planning even includes the possibility of presenting three different teams throughout the friendlies to evaluate players.
Among the summoned players, there are four who will only participate against Benin. Messi and Nicolás Otamendi will be present in that match as it will be their farewell from the national team, while Giovani Lo Celso and Rodrigo De Paul will not be part of the first two matches by the coach's decision.
