Fabiana Edith Muñoz, sister of player Marcos Acuña, was found alive at dawn this Sunday after an extensive search operation in the Neuquén city of Zapala. The 42-year-old woman was located during a sweep in a nearby rural area and transferred to Zapala Hospital so that she could undergo medical examinations.
The search had begun on Friday, when her family reported her disappearance after not having any news since that afternoon. According to the official information, she had last been seen at around 5:30 p.m. at her home on Antártida Argentina Street, house 26. Since then, an intense police operation was deployed, which also included the participation of local residents.
The Neuquén Police issued a missing person notice with a detailed description of the clothing she was wearing at the time of her disappearance:"Black hat, green windbreaker-type jacket, blue jeans, and pink sneakers". In addition, it was indicated that she was a woman "with olive skin, brown hair, dark eyes, and a slim build".

Fabiana's mother had confirmed that her daughter suffers from schizophrenia, a fact that increased concern during the hours of the search. In that context, the family requested assistance from the community and asked that any information be reported to the nearest police station or to the emergency number 101.
Before her discovery was confirmed, Jessica Muñoz, another sister, had publicly expressed her discomfort over the lack of adequate support from the health care system. On social media she questioned the actions of the psychiatric team at Zapala Hospital and targeted the professional in charge of the treatment:"This could have been avoided if they had done their job properly", she wrote.
Later, in a conversation with LM Neuquén, she explained that Fabiana's condition had worsened since October and that on more than one occasion they had had to call the police, even though the doctor considered that she was stable. "Unfortunately, today my sister is not aware of everything that is happening", she stated.
