Marcos Senesi became a protagonist of the European transfer market. The 28-year-old Argentine defender, who is currently an undisputed starter at Bournemouth, could become a free agent next June 30 and his situation has sparked the interest of three giants of the Old Continent: Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, and Juventus, which intend to take advantage of the possibility of signing him without paying a transfer fee.
The defender from Entre Ríos, who came through the ranks of San Lorenzo, built his European career starting in 2019, when he arrived at Feyenoord. Three years later, Bournemouth paid 15 million euros for him, and since then he has established himself as a key piece. His versatility (he can play as a center-back or left-back) and his Italian passport make him a sought-after profile and an easy fit in any European squad.
In that regard, according to Mundo Deportivo, Atlético de Madrid, driven by Diego Simeone's interest and by the need to strengthen its defense, already has him among its priorities. However, the Spanish outlet warns that Barcelona is also closely monitoring him and is keeping him on its shortlist to rebuild its back line. In Italy, Matteo Moretto confirmed that Juventus has included him on its radar and that other clubs from Spain and England are even considering joining the race.
