The governor of Córdoba, Martín Llaryora, appointed Miguel Siciliano as Minister of Institutional Liaison and Management of the Province, in a clear move to achieve proximity and territorial presence.
Siciliano publicly thanked the governor for his decision and said he will take on the commitment "to defend every achievement our province has accomplished in these years."
He also said that he will seek to deepen the development of each region and will continue creating opportunities for all Cordobans.
"Vamos a seguir trabajando, como sabemos hacerlo: cerca de la gente, de los clubes", dijo Siciliano.
"Thank you, Martín Llaryora, for the trust to take on this new challenge in my political life. It is a tremendous honor to continue supporting this project that transformed Córdoba and shows that with work, dialogue, and management, we can change realities," he wrote on the social network X.
"In this stage, my work will continue from the Provincial Executive, with the commitment to defend every achievement our province has accomplished in these years, deepen the development of each region, and continue creating opportunities for all Cordobans," he added.
Siciliano and the hope that Argentina will move forward
The former Secretary of Government of the Municipality of Córdoba during Llaryora's term as mayor also said that "we have a lot of hope that Argentina will move forward, and that's why we're going to work on the projection of our Córdoba, but we know these are difficult times and working with institutions is key to sustaining the social fabric and the well-being of the community."
"Vamos a seguir trabajando, como sabemos hacerlo: cerca de la gente, de los clubes", dijo Siciliano.
"We're going to keep working, as we know how: close to the people, to the clubs, to neighborhood centers, to NGOs, to churches, to every actor in Cordoban life, listening and managing. Thank you very much for the trust, and I assure you that we're going to give it our all, because that's what the best province in the country and one of the best places in the world demands!" he concluded.
García Aresca replaces Siciliano
In various Córdoba media, Siciliano was asked about his candidacy for deputy. He stated: "When I was a candidate, I never imagined that Martín would call me to the government."
The former head of the Córdoba legislature bloc will be replaced in the national Congress by Ignacio García Aresca, fifth on the list, who is already a deputy and will now have another term.
He is a leader in whom Llaryora places the utmost trust, and he replaced him as mayor of San Francisco at the time.
