A ballistic report confirmed that photographer Pablo Grillo was injured by a ricochet.

The investigation confirms that Grillo was recklessly behind a burning barricade

A recent expert report prepared in the case of Pablo Grillo reveals that it was not possible to determine the angle of the shot with the gas-launching pistol and that the impact received by the photographer, who was crouching behind a burning barricade, occurred after a ricochet, refuting the disinformation campaign launched by Kirchnerist media against Gendarmería.

According to the document, it was not possible to categorically determine the angle or the exact position of the weapon belonging to Corporal Héctor Jesús Guerrero, since the tests carried out demonstrated a wide dispersion and dissimilar trajectories of the grenades, even in shots under identical conditions. This fact is essential because it refutes the accusation of a shot fired intentionally.

The report also explains that the unpredictability of the weapon-cartridge combination makes it impossible to specify an accurate firing angle. Furthermore, it is proven that the projectile that injured Grillo first struck the upper edge of the barricade where he himself was crouching, then deflected and hit the photographer. In other words, it was an accidental ricochet, not a deliberate attack.

Pablo Grillo was crouching

Another revealing point is Grillo's position at the time of the incident. The expert reports and public images confirm that he was hidden behind a burning barricade, squatting and taking photographs toward the area of the security forces.

His height at that moment was only 60 to 70 centimeters (24 to 28 inches) from the ground, which made it virtually impossible for the gendarmes to see him. This reckless behavior, in the midst of a high-risk operation, was a determining factor in the outcome.

The document also emphasized that, upon striking the surface of the barricade, the projectile lost speed and kinetic energy, in addition to deflecting its trajectory. Consequently, the impact Grillo received occurred as a stroke of misfortune and not due to an intentional action by Héctor Jesús Guerrero.

Despite the forcefulness of the report, Kirchnerist media, such as C5N, immediately began to promote the idea that the gendarme acted outside protocol. These publications, with a strong left-wing bias, seek to hold Gendarmería responsible through distortions and by omitting that the expert report itself clarifies the impossibility of attributing a specific firing angle and the decisive impact of the ricochet on the barricade.
