On September 22, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, France Football magazine will announce the winner of the 2025 Ballon d'Or and the successor to Rodri Hernández, who was honored in 2024.
In this edition, among the 30 nominees for the top award, Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) and Ousmane Dembélé (PSG) are the two main candidates to win it.
Meanwhile, Argentina will have three representatives among the various individual awards. Alexis Mac Allister (Liverpool) and Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan) are nominated for the Men's Ballon d'Or, while Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez (Aston Villa) appears among the candidates for the Yashin Trophy, which recognizes the best goalkeeper of the year.
MacAllister, Lautaro y Dibu son los únicos argentinos nominados
It should be noted that the Ballon d'Or is awarded to the player who had the best season and not a calendar year. That is, the period from August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025.
Time and TV for the Ballon d'Or gala
The 69th Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place in the French capital starting at 4:00 p.m. (Argentina time) and can be watched on Disney+.
