Battlefield 6 introduces its campaign with Pax Armata and total war.

The wait is over: Battlefield 6 is official. EA has released the first trailer focused on its campaign mode, and although details about platforms and release date are still being kept under wraps, an intense story set in the near future is already being anticipated. Additionally, it has been confirmed that July 31 will be the chosen date to reveal the highly anticipated multiplayer, one of the most valued aspects by the community.

The campaign places us in a chaotic geopolitical scenario.  NATO has collapsed after a series of attacks orchestrated by Pax Armata, a paramilitary corporation that now dominates global headlines. Its rise to military power, following events such as the assassination of NATO's Secretary General and a series of offensives in Georgia and Gibraltar, triggers a conflict on a global scale.

Pax Armata and the beginning of a new war

Battlefield 6 puts us on the side of a new coalition led by France, which is trying to withstand Pax Armata's onslaught.  With an approach similar to the modern conflicts shown in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, this campaign covers locations in the US, Europe, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean, all under the narrative backdrop of a world on the brink of collapse.

The cinematic trailer includes an introduction from the President of the United States and showcases an impressive visual display based on the Frostbite graphics engine, although EA warns that it is not representative of the final gameplay.

Combat on all fronts and multiplayer reveal

Infantry, tanks, fighter jets, and naval vehicles: the trailer makes it clear that Battlefield 6 will offer total combat on multiple fronts, true to the saga's tradition. The official description highlights the strategic use of the environment, cooperation between squads, and the brutality of a war without rules, marked by Pax Armata's motto: "Our protection, your peace."

The full presentation of the multiplayer mode will take place on July 31 at 8:30 PM (Spanish time) via Battlefield's official YouTube channel. It is expected that the event will confirm the definitive release date (leaked as October 10, 2025) and the official platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Availability and pre-registration

Although there is still no official confirmation about the editions,  players can already add Battlefield 6 to their wish lists on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. On EA's official website, a countdown for the multiplayer event has also been enabled.

After the stumble of Battlefield 2042, EA appears determined to restore the saga's prestige, betting on a stronger narrative, cutting-edge technology, and gameplay aimed at large-scale tactical action.
