The peace between Benjamín Vicuña and Eugenia "la China" Suárez appears to have come to an end. After years of cordial agreements regarding the upbringing of their children Magnolia and Amancio, a series of social media posts by the actress sparked a new phase of public tension between them.
Everything began weeks ago, when la China shared a post in which, ironically, she referred to Vicuña as "father of the year" and accused him of being an absent father, in addition to insinuating that he had addiction problems. The post caused a major stir on social media and in the press, and although it was deleted some time later, the controversy had already taken hold.

Vicuña's response: "It was food for social media"
Until now, Vicuña had avoided speaking directly about his ex-partner's statements. However, in a recent interview given to the Chilean magazine Velvet—shared in Argentina by the program LAM—the actor broke his silence and referred to the conflict as "regrettable."
"With her, while separated, we had for years a harmonious, flexible arrangement, based on understanding, affection, and respect", he began. According to his explanation, what broke that harmony was precisely the public exposure of differences that had previously been solved in private.
