Big Brother exploded over accusations of favoritism: harsh on-air reaction
The reality show faced a new crisis following suspicions of favoritism toward Eugenia Ruíz
Big Brother was once again at the center of controversy. This time, suspicions of "favoritism" reignited the fire inside the country's most watched house. A conversation between participants sparked a scandal that forced the production to intervene live with a sharp statement.
It all began when Sandra Priore, in a whispered conversation with Lourdes, hinted that Eugenia Ruíz might have had advantages to enter the house. According to her, the woman from Santiago decided not to join the first batch of participants to spend the holidays with her son, and that—Sandra suggested—was only possible if she had some kind of arrangement with the production.
Sandra Priore hinted at favoritism and unleashed the storm
"Right. This one will end up like Chiara, who was close to the one who managed the confessional," Priore stated. Lourdes's response revealed the suspicion: "So did she have acquaintances?"

Far from letting it go, the production acted immediately. Santiago del Moro was in charge of contextualizing the situation on air, revealing that Eugenia had recorded her presentation like the rest and that, in the final stage, it was Andrea who entered in her place. Both were competing for a spot in the game, with similar profiles: women over 40 years old, mothers, workers.
He also explained that in other cases, like Selva and Petrona, decisions are made at the last moment based on dynamics and profiles. "These things always happen," the host clarified, making it clear that the choices do not follow personal connections but editorial decisions.
The Big Brother statement: zero tolerance for accusations
Amid the tense atmosphere, the voice of Big Brother echoed in the house with a message that left no room for interpretation. Without naming anyone, it pointed directly at those who question the program's transparency.
"The word favoritism always comes up," it began. "I am attributed friendships with players due to the use of the confessional, and there is talk of arrangements and privileges. This is not the case," it stated. The message was direct: anyone who did not trust the fairness of the game could leave at that very moment.
Sandra remained silent, without making gestures or giving explanations. No one decided to leave the competition.
Meanwhile, Eugenia broke the silence after the statement. She claimed to feel alluded to and called those who did not take responsibility for the rumors cowards. When confronting Sandra, she only received evasions: "Oh, I don't remember," the accused repeated several times.
Katia "la tana" Fenocchio, a witness to a suspicious conversation between Sandra, Lourdes, and Eugenia, stated that the accusation might have arisen during that lunch. La Tana confronted Eugenia with shouts, and in the midst of the conflict, the sudden move she had made against Juan Pablo De Vigili, activated the previous night, was revealed. In the heat of the argument, Katia harshly shouted: "Your son is watching you."
