The GH host commented on Eugenia's remark about Los Andes and anticipated that she will apologize
Eugenia Ruíz was at the center of controversy due to an unfortunate remark in the Gran Hermano house. During a discussion with Tato Algorta, she alluded to the Andes tragedy with a comment that did not go unnoticed.
The reality show's host, Santiago del Moro, spoke out after the video went viral and explained his stance on what the participant said.

What did Eugenia say about the Andes tragedy?
It all happened during the "Top 10" activity, in which Eugenia praised Tato as "the best player." However, the tone quickly changed when she accused him of having acted selfishly in various situations inside the house.
The woman from Santiago said to him: "If what happened in 'Alive!' on the plane happens to me, I'm scared to be with you". The phrase, which refers to the book and movie about the survivors of flight 571 in the Andes mountains, caused discomfort.
The real tragedy behind the comment
Uruguayan Air Force flight 571 crashed on October 13, 1972. There were 45 people on board, including players from the Old Christians Club rugby team.
- 29 people died, including 8 who perished in an avalanche.
- The 16 survivors endured 72 days in the mountains.
- To survive, they resorted to cannibalism.

The event was recounted in books and movies, such as Alive!, and deeply impacted Uruguay and the entire world.
How did Santiago del Moro react?
Santiago del Moro addressed the comment with a tone that was understanding yet critical. "She made a dark humor joke that was out of place," he noted.

"I don't think she intended to hurt anyone. I think when she leaves, she will apologize. It's a joke that bothers and that she probably didn't mean with malice," the host explained in dialogue with the media.
What happened between Eugenia and Tato?
The argument between Eugenia and Tato began over a previous conflict related to food. She accused him of cooking meat only for his friends when there was a shortage in the house.
"That's when I really got to know you," she said, labeling him as "selfish" and a "bad companion." She also reproached him for not sharing cigarettes with other participants.

Tato replied calmly
The Uruguayan defended himself and admitted he was wrong. "I'm not good, I'm normal. I made mistakes, but I don't think it's that serious," he replied.
He also accused her of "pointing out silly things all the time" and of taking his actions out of context.
