Manuel Ibero's entrance into Gran Hermano (Golden Generation) caused an immediate impact on social media. His name began to circulate strongly not only because of his arrival at the most famous house in the country, but also because of his romantic past with Zoe Bogach, one of the most popular players from the previous season.

Far from avoiding the subject, Manuel decided to confront it from the very first moment. While he was sharing a workout routine with other participants, the conversation shifted to his connection with the influencer.

It was then that he launched a statement that did not go unnoticed: "Now I am Manuel, I have already stopped being 'the ex of.' That was one of the reasons why I wanted to come in here".

The participant explained that he feels that his identity was reduced to that relationship and that his goal is for the audience to know him for who he is today.

"I do not want to be anyone's ex, I am myself. I have quite a lot to contribute and I have done quite a lot of things in my life for people to know me for a relationship", he stated in front of his housemates.

In the same vein, he made it clear that he doesn't hold any grudges: "I do not have anything bad to say about her. The truth is that I had a great relationship. Besides, I would never speak ill of a person I loved".

He also hinted that his entrance into the reality show could even benefit his ex-partner: "If I came in here, it was going to help her a lot. She has the content…", he commented, before closing the subject.

With that message, Manuel Ibero tried to set a starting point within the game: that his time on Gran Hermano is defined by his personality and strategy, and not by his love story.

The statements by the new "little brother" went viral quickly and caused divided opinions. Some users questioned his words and others even called for his early exit from the reality show. "But he came in for being the ex of…", "He is the first one out", "He came in to make people hate him", were some of the comments that circulated on X and Instagram.

Meanwhile, Zoe Bogach did not take long to react. During a live stream that she was sharing with other former players, she showed her surprise when she saw him enter the show. "He came in with self-tanner on. Oh! No, no, no, no, how cringe!", she exclaimed on air, visibly shocked.

Still in shock, she added: "Put a T-jersey on, idiot, you can't be such a clown... I am in shock! I can't believe it!". The phrases were repeated on social media and fueled the debate among the show's followers.

Later on, she also left a comment on an official post from the show: "Hahaha I am finally Zoe", she wrote, in a phrase that many interpreted as a direct response to her ex's statement.
