Alpine is going through decisive days in shaping its team for the 2026 Formula 1 season. After confirming in September the continuity of Frenchman Pierre Gasly, the French team still keeps the announcement of its second main driver on hold, a seat for which Franco Colapinto is the main candidate.
Although the agreement seemed finalized weeks ago, the official confirmation was delayed longer than expected, generating strong anticipation among Argentine fans and supporters of the driver from Pilar. In recent hours, rumors of an imminent announcement have gained momentum, fueled by an unexpected source.
During a live stream by streamer Davo Xeneize, music producer Bizarrap, one of Colapinto's biggest supporters on his path to F1, dropped a hint that sparked excitement: "Colapinto news? Wait for the weekend for that," he said with a laugh, suggesting that the announcement could happen within days.
