Diablo II adds its first completely new content in almost 25 years. It is the DLC Reign of the Warlock, presented by Blizzard during the Diablo Spotlight event for the 30th anniversary of the saga.
The expansion is already available on Battle.net, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch for Diablo II: Resurrected. In addition, the new class will also arrive in Diablo Immortal and Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred.

A new class for Diablo II after decades
Since Lord of Destruction in 2001, Diablo II had not received a major expansion. Now, Reign of the Warlock introduces for the first time in the history of the franchise the Warlock class.
Unlike the Paladin, who invokes the power of the High Heavens, the Warlock uses forbidden knowledge from the Vizjerei texts. His style is based on summoning and controlling demons.
Main abilities of the Warlock
- Summon Goatman, Tainted, and Defiler.
- Bind an enemy demon and use its unique ability.
- Devour demons to obtain temporary buffs.
The focus is clearly darker and more strategic, centered on synergies with minions and the management of demonic resources.
