Salta Police dismantled an organization dedicated to drug dealing and involved in the theft of cell phones from Central Norte's squad. The operation, carried out simultaneously in three neighborhoods, was led by the Narcocriminal Investigation Division and originated from reports from local residents who alerted authorities about the sale of drugs in the area.
In the raided homes, security forces found a significant amount of base paste, cocaine, and several cell phones. Among the devices found are the five that were stolen from players of the Salta team five days ago, when two individuals entered the club's premises and took advantage of the squad's training session to steal the high-value devices.
Commissioner Héctor Castelli stated that the phones will be returned to the players once the corresponding forensic examinations are completed. He also reported that eight people were arrested during the operation.
