Boca took a concrete step in the search for an attacking reinforcement and moved decisively for Edwuin Cetré. In the last few hours, the Xeneize board presented a bid to acquire 100% of the transfer rights of the Estudiantes forward, taking advantage of the extraordinary roster spot granted by Rodrigo Battaglia's injury.
After an initial inquiry with the player's entourage and Estudiantes' Technical Secretariat, the club from La Ribera formalized its interest and began to set in motion a negotiation that has accelerated in recent days. Although in La Plata they are waiting for the proposal to be submitted in writing in order to analyze amounts and conditions, they acknowledge that talks are advanced.
Boca's intention is to secure 100% of the rights of the 28-year-old Colombian winger. Estudiantes owns 50% of the transfer rights, while the rest belongs to Independiente de Medellín, with whom Xeneize will also have to reach an agreement to unlock the deal. The overall proposal would be around 6 million gross dollars, a figure similar to what Athletico Paranaense had previously offered before that transfer fell through.

The acceleration in the negotiations responds to a sporting need. Injuries in attack and Brian Aguirre's loan move left Sifón Úbeda's team with few options on the wings, and the coaching staff believes that Cetré fits in terms of attributes, current form, and experience. In that context, his name has once again gained strength on the domestic radar.
