Almost six months after the dissolution of the Football Council, Boca finished reorganizing its sports structure. The only member who remains in the scheme is Marcelo Delgado, who was formally appointed as the club's sporting director.
The confirmation arrived institutionally and without prior announcements, through the club's official magazine, where the complete organizational chart of the staff that works with the first team was published. It was established there that "Chelo" is the top person responsible for football decisions, after the departures of Raúl Cascini, Jorge "El Patrón" Bermúdez and Mauricio "Chicho" Serna.

This way, a process that began on August 6 was closed, when president Juan Román Riquelme decided to dissolve the Football Council. Since then, Delgado has been the only one who remained active and close to the squad, although for several months he did so without a formal position. Meanwhile, Cascini, Bermúdez and Serna no longer perform official duties within the area, beyond sporadic appearances by the former at Boca Predio.
In his new role, Delgado acts as a direct link between Riquelme and the First Division squad. He also works together with three delegates specialized in the transfer market, whose names were not officially disclosed by the institution.
