The second matchday of Group C of the Club World Cup concludes with the clash between Boca and Bayern Munich, two teams with great historical stature within their respective confederations. This match will be crucial, especially for Xeneize, which will seek to put in a worthy performance against a German team that is a favorite to win the group and the title.

Miguel Ángel Russo's team comes from showing a great level in the debut against Benfica. The club from La Ribera had started winning with a two-goal advantage thanks to goals from Miguel Merentiel and Rodrigo Battaglia, showing a completely different side compared to what was seen in the last match of the Torneo Apertura.

Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany's team arrives at this match afterdestroying Auckland City 10-0. The Bavarians demonstrated all their power against a clearly inferior team, achieving a massive goal difference in just one match. In addition, they also come with the momentum of winning another Bundesliga.

The last time both clubs met was in the 2001 Intercontinental Cup. Back then, the Germans would prevail by the minimum, leaving Boca without its second consecutive title. In addition to this match, they played two other times in friendlies. The first was exactly a century ago, in 1925, with a 1-1 draw, and the second was in 1967 for the Joan Gamper Trophy, with a Xeneize victory by 1-0.

Xeneize's second match in this revamped Club World Cup against Bayern Munich will be this Friday at 10:00 p.m. at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The match will be broadcast by DSports, Telefé, Disney+ Premium  and DAZN, the latter completely free on its official website.
