Manuel Neuer appeared confident ahead of the match against Boca, but he was cautious.
Before the Club World Cup clash, the goalkeeper and Bayern legend stated that they are contenders, but emphasized the demands of the match against Xeneize
At Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, Bayern Munich will face Boca for the second matchday of Group C of the Club World Cup. The German team will seek a victory that would secure early qualification for the round of 16, in a match that promises to be intense.
Before the match, Manuel Neuer, captain and goalkeeper of the Bavarian team, spoke with the club's official media and shared his thoughts. Although he expressed confidence in earning three points, he was also cautious and emphasized respect for South American teams.
"We definitely expect a great atmosphere. We saw how the match against Benfica unfolded. We'll have to stay focused, remain calm, and focus on our strengths," said the veteran goalkeeper, highlighting the setting and Boca's competitive level.

He also explained how they are preparing for the match: "We're preparing for the match to be increasingly focused, even analyzing our opponents, and knowing exactly what we need. The intensity is also increasing a bit, but the day before the match it decreases somewhat because the temperatures here, obviously, also have an influence".
Already thinking about the final stretch of the tournament, Neuer considered that European teams remain the main contenders, but with an important nuance: "We'll see how each team performs here and how they adapt to the conditions. Then, the knockout stage will be a different story. The usual favorites are, of course, the European teams, but South American teams shouldn't be underestimated either".
Élber, between respect and warning
Before the clash between Xeneizes and Bavarians, the voice of Giovane Élber, idol of the German team, was also present. In a conversation with Super Deportivo Radio, the former Brazilian striker was clear: "For Bayern Munich, playing against Boca is like playing against Manchester City in the Champions League".

In the same vein, he added: "It's difficult to have Boca in the group stage. You have to show respect". He also compared the level of knowledge they have about their opponents: "Of course, Benfica is a team we know better than Boca Juniors, but Boca has a name. The players know that there you have to fight for 90 minutes to come away with a victory".
