On vacation in the country, the Alpine driver revealed what he will do when he steps onto the podium for the first time and once again expressed his love for Boca

Franco Colapinto is enjoying some days of rest in Argentina after a demanding year with Alpine, marked by the pressure inherent to Formula 1 and the difficulties of adaptation. With his mind set on the 2026 season, the Argentine driver doesn't hide his hope of making a leap in quality and has made a promise that reflects his fanaticism for Boca.

During an event organized by one of his sponsors, the native of Pilar was asked about his sporting future and, amid laughter, he revealed what he'll do when he achieves his first major result in F1. "When I get my first podium, when I go up I'm going to say "Boca, Boca, Boca"", he stated, making it clear that Xeneize will be present even in one of the most important moments of his career.

Colapinto's love for Boca is well known and recurring. Every time he runs into fans or blue-and-gold jerseys in the different countries he visits for competition, he usually stops to take photos or give some autographs. "There are always a couple of people with Boca jerseys and flags. Not only are there people from Argentina, Boca fans also show up", he said.

The driver himself explained where that fanaticism comes from. "My family were big Boca fans and as a result of that they started taking me to the stadium. When I was a kid I went to every match", he recalled. However, he acknowledged that distance is now one of the things that weighs on him the most: "Now I'm in a tough spot because I'm in Europe and not going to the stadium is what hurts me the most".

Meanwhile, as he enjoys a few days in the country before refocusing fully on preparation for 2026, Colapinto allows himself to dream. The sporting objective is clear: to improve his performance, to fight for important results and, if that long-awaited first podium arrives, to fulfill a promise that connects him directly with his passion for soccer.
