After the triumph in the Copa Colombia, the winger is one step away from becoming a reinforcement for Xeneize in 2026
Marino Hinestroza is very close to becoming the first signing for Boca in this transfer window. Although there has not been any official confirmation yet, at Atlético Nacional the transfer is already practically taken for granted, to the point that his own teammates have begun to bid him farewell publicly.
The most eloquent scene took place this Wednesday, during the celebrations for Verdolaga's title in the Copa Colombia. After the 1-0 win over Independiente Medellín, former Xeneize Jorman Campuzano did a live stream on Instagram from the locker room and, when Hinestroza came over to greet him, he hugged him and delivered a message that quickly went viral:" I'm sending him to Boca in Argentina. Take care of him because he's good".
The gesture was not an isolated one. Hours later, Hinestroza himself posted a farewell message on his social media, hinting at the end of his spell at Nacional." This love story could not end in any other way than with a title. I will always carry you in my heart, dear Verde", wrote the winger, who started in the final and this year managed to break into the Colombian national team under Néstor Lorenzo's leadership.
Meanwhile, negotiations have progressed at a good pace. In the last few hours there was a direct call from Boca president Juan Román Riquelme, to the player and a club envoy is already in Colombia to finalize the details. The parties are practically in agreement and only a minor point remains to be solved for the transfer to be completed with a view to 2026, the year in which Xeneize will once again play in the Copa Libertadores after two seasons of absence.
Hinestroza está a detalles de ser nuevo refuerzo de Boca
Although no official figures have been released, Atlético Nacional had initially set a valuation close to eight million dollars. The Ribera club offered around six million, including bonuses and performance incentives, numbers that ultimately convinced the Colombian club. In the mid-year transfer window, Nacional had asked for more than ten million, but the drop in the player's performance in the second half of the year led to a reduction in their demands.
In this context, Hinestroza's transfer appears to be on track and everything indicates that Boca will add a winger who has already begun to say goodbye to Colombia, while in Argentina they are waiting to welcome him in the coming days.
