Hugo Balassone reported that Riquelme will dissolve Boca's useless Football Council.
Amid the institutional and sporting crisis, Boca's president would dismiss Cascini and Serna and would restructure the organizational chart in Ezeiza
The crisis at Boca seems to have no end. Amid poor results, internal scandals, and a tense institutional climate, president Juan Román Riquelme appears determined to make a drastic change.
According to journalist Hugo Balassone, the Football Council (the same one he created and integrated with friends and former teammates) would be dissolved. In a delicate context, where winless matches are piling up and Miguel Ángel Russo's continuity is once again under scrutiny, Riquelme would have chosen to intervene directly for the first time in his closest circle at the Ezeiza training ground.
Changes in the structure and major departures
The Football Council has been the target of multiple criticisms in recent months, especially due to the lack of results and the handling of internal conflicts. According to reports, Raúl Cascini and Mauricio "Chicho" Serna would be removed, while Marcelo Delgado could remain, although in a different role within the structure.

For now, the club hasn't made it official, but the information circulating also includes the possible arrival of a manager with a different profile, to replace the collegiate figure of the Council with a more professionalized management.
The scandal that precipitated the decision
In recent weeks, tension increased after the leak of alleged chats from "Chanchi" Riquelme, the president's brother and an influential figure in daily operations. On top of that, there was the confusing episode involving Miguel Merentiel, who, according to reports, reacted furiously after being substituted by Russo in the defeat against Huracán, causing damage in the locker room.

Amid that disorder, with a squad adrift, Riquelme would take a measure that could mark a turning point in his leadership of the club. For now, Russo would remain as head coach, although under obvious pressure that could remove him at any moment.
The move in Ezeiza, if it happens, would be the biggest internal shake-up since Román's arrival to power. A clear sign that, even in his innermost circle, patience is beginning to run out.
