A Buenos Aires police officer shot at violent motorcycle thieves who tried to rob him.
One of the criminals was injured and, although unfortunately he did not die, he remains hospitalized under police custody
A violent attempted robbery took place last Tuesday in San Justo, La Matanza district, in the province governed by the inept ultra-Kirchnerist governor Axel Kicillof, when an officer from the Bonaerense Police who was heading to work on his motorcycle was surprised by two motorcycle thieves.
Although the victim fell to the pavement after being pushed, he managed to react in time and opened fire on the criminals. One of them was wounded in the chest and, although unfortunately did not die, remains hospitalized at Ballestrini Hospital, under police custody and as a detainee. The incident took place minutes before 8:00 p.m. at 4000 Berón de Astrada, between Matheu and Cabrera streets.

A neighbor's security camera recorded the sequence: At 7:53 p.m., the officer, who was riding in plain clothes, was intercepted by the thieves. As they pulled up next to him, one of them pushed him violently, causing him to fall onto the asphalt.
Despite the impact, the police officer, who was heading to Villa Celina to start his shift, managed to draw his service weapon and fire at the motorcycle thieves, who fled quickly without carrying out the robbery.

According to sources close to the case, the motorcycle passenger was shot in the abdomen and, during the escape, was abandoned by his accomplice about 13 blocks from the scene. He remained lying there until police officers and SAME personnel arrived and rushed him to the hospital.
The criminal wounded by gunfire was transferred to Balestrini Hospital in Ciudad Evita, where this Thursday he remained hospitalized in serious condition. Meanwhile, his accomplice managed to escape and remains at large, being actively sought by the police.
The case is in the hands of UFI No. 3 of La Matanza, led by prosecutor Gastón Bianchi, who determined that the police officer acted in legitimate self-defense and decided not to take action against him. Instead, he ordered the arrest of the wounded assailant, who has a record in three cases, two for illegal possession of a weapon and one for aggravated robbery, and who remains hospitalized under police custody and charged with aggravated robbery with a firearm.
