Caputo's plan to buy cheaper cell phones and TVs in Tierra del Fuego begins
The government launched the plan to buy cheaper electronics manufactured in Tierra del Fuego
The government launched the official schedule for the new system that aims to lower the price of electronic products manufactured in Tierra del Fuego.
This is a plan that reduces key taxes such as VAT and enables online purchases with significant tax benefits.

How does Luis Caputo's new plan work?
Driven by Luis Caputo, the program called "Pequeño Envío AAE" aims to facilitate access to cell phones, televisions, air conditioners and other products.
It will be available only for personal, non-commercial purchases, and will have a control system that limits the number of units per person.
Online purchases with tax benefits
The system will operate exclusively through the e-commerce platforms of Fuegian companies that join the program.

Purchases may include up to 3 units per product per year and will have a cap of USD 3,000 per transaction.
Which products can be purchased
- Cell phones and mobile radio communication devices
- Televisions of various sizes
- Air conditioners and microwave ovens
- Monitors for computers

All items must be for personal use and resale will not be allowed.
When does the plan start and what is the schedule?
This Thursday, July 31, the Developer's Manual will be published, which will be the first step for companies to adapt their systems.
From that point, the technical setup will begin so that online stores can operate within the new regime.

Key dates of the program
- July 31: publication of the Developer's Manual
- August 5: start of external approval before the ARCA Agency
- Final launch date: to be confirmed, after the previous steps are completed
When will purchases actually be possible?
Once companies complete the approval process and the system is validated, the official start date for the public will be announced.

For now, the stage is exclusively technical and is designed so that brands can adapt to the new sales model.
