The former vice president of the Nation, Carlos Ruckauf, analyzed the current legislative and political scenario. He assured that Javier Milei's administration will manage to pass the key laws it is pushing, since in Congress Kirchnerism has been cornered.
"The President is going to pass the laws", Ruckauf stated in a conversation with Las Mañanas con Andino. He explained that the ruling party has a sufficient majority to move forward, even if it must respect Parliament's own timing.
"With Parliament, being impatient is a problem, even if you have a good number of deputies and senators", he maintained. He stressed that Congress has its own dynamics that can't be forced.

The role of the Senate and the building of majorities
Ruckauf highlighted the political work in the Upper House and pointed out that a coalition has been consolidated there that allows the administration to move forward. "Patricia Bullrich in the Senate, with a lot of organized work, has a coalition that is above 40 senators", he stated. Although not all of them will vote for every initiative, they will support the essential laws.
In that regard, he listed the bills that already have support: "It has a committee report on labor reform, it is going to have a committee report on the budget, there is the tax amnesty law, and there will be progress in the Penal Code." "That is to say, the laws are going to pass", he insisted.
For Ruckauf, the current balance of power has left Kirchnerism without real blocking capacity. "In the Senate and in the Chamber of Deputies there is the consensus of a majority that has cornered Kirchnerism", he stated.
He also maintained that the opposition camp itself makes mistakes that deepen that isolation. "Sometimes they make mistakes that corner them, because Mayans went to pick a fight, he put on a show for his own audience, and he could not even appoint his members to the committee".
He stressed that Patricia is the one who has the majority in the Senate, and that this is a power that must be used. "Power that is not used is lost", he sentenced.
