Governor Raúl Jalil, together with the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Nicolás Rosales Matienzo, held a meeting with the executive director of the Bunge & Born Foundation, Gerardo della Paolera, with the aim of strengthening joint work on educational policies and social innovation programs.
During the meeting, Della Paolera presented the organization's strategic pillars, which seek to promote the country's social, scientific, and educational development through high-impact projects in various provinces.
The meeting marked the beginning of a formal collaboration between the Government of Catamarca and the Foundation, aimed at designing and implementing comprehensive educational programs, with special attention to teacher training, literacy, and early childhood development.
Focus on education and child development
The Bunge & Born Foundation has developed various nationally impactful initiatives throughout its history, including learning improvement programs, support for public policies, and teacher training.
This time, the organization presented a comprehensive child development strategy, whose purpose is to produce knowledge to support public policy decisions and optimize resources in critical areas.
The plan includes actions aimed at strengthening the capacities of teachers, caregivers, and families, promoting a more equitable educational environment with better opportunities for the province's children.
Public-private cooperation for the benefit of education
Governor Raúl Jalil welcomed the approach and highlighted the importance of joining efforts with private institutions with a track record in educational innovation. Meanwhile, Della Paolera emphasized that collaboration with provincial governments is key to ensuring that programs effectively reach communities.
Ezequiel Bacher, Communications and Public Affairs Manager of the Foundation, and officials from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Catamarca also participated in the meeting.
The meeting left open the possibility of implementing pilot projects in Catamarca schools, focusing on early childhood and ongoing teacher training, under a long-term vision that links science, education, and social development.
