The calf reached its highest price so far this year, which illustrates the great moment for livestock producers.
The feeder animal weighing between 100 and 150 kilos (220 and 331 pounds) was paid up to $7,000 per kilo in the last auction of the year organized by Consignaciones Córdoba, at the Jesús María Rural Society.
The increase compared to last week's prices climbed to 12% and to 97% for the year.
With a high supply, about 2,120 head came into the ring at the livestock market in northern Córdoba, including 600 finished cattle and 1,520 feeder animals.
