Chaco's justice system ordered life imprisonment this Tuesday for César Sena, Emerenciano Sena, and Marcela Acuña, after considering them responsible for the femicide of Cecilia Strzyzowski. The verdict was read during a hearing presided over by Judge Dolly Fernández, after the trial by popular jury.
The magistrate confirmed the maximum sentence for César Sena, identified as the perpetrator of the crime, and for his parents, Emerenciano Sena and Marcela Acuña, defined by the court as necessary participants. The ruling closed one of the most shocking judicial proceedings of recent years in the province.
In the same decision, the court imposed prison sentences on the defendants charged with cover-up. Gustavo Obregón received four years and ten months; Fabiana Cecilia González, five years of effective imprisonment; and Gustavo Melgarejo, two years and ten months with a suspended sentence.

In this last case, the sentence included behavioral guidelines: to establish a fixed address, to not leave without judicial authorization, to abstain from the consumption of narcotics, and to not commit new crimes, under warning of revocation of the benefit.
How did the crime occur?
The prosecutorial investigation reconstructed with precision the time frame of the murder thanks to the analysis of security cameras, cell phone antenna records, and witness statements.
Cecilia entered the Sena family home — located on Santa María de Oro Street at 1400 — at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2023.
