The sports crisis that River is going through continues to make headlines. Hours after the defeat against Rosario Central, the fifth consecutive in AFA tournaments, and amid the questioning of the team's current state, Eduardo Coudet left a message that quickly gained attention: "Cowards don't make history".

The phrase appeared in a image on the WhatsApp status and profile of the coach after the match played at the Monumental stadium and was interpreted as a response to the criticism he has been receiving for several weeks regarding the team's performance and his continuity in the position.

The message came after a night filled with tension. River suffered its third defeat in as many appearances in the Clausura Tournament, continues to fail to score goals in the competition, and once again heard the discontent of the fans, who directed their frustrations at the management from the stands.

After the match, the club decided to suspend both Coudet's press conference and the players' statements, so there were no public explanations from the coach. However, behind closed doors, he made it clear what his stance is. According to reports, during the talk he had with the squad in the locker room he confirmed that he does not plan to step aside and sought to convey confidence regarding what lies ahead. "We have to turn it around and we have what it takes", he expressed to his players.

The management also reaffirmed its support for the coach. Once the match was over, president Stefano Di Carlo entered the locker room to meet with the coaching staff and the players, in a show of support despite the delicate moment the team is going through.

Coudet remained inside the Monumental for more than two hours before leaving. After holding an extensive meeting with his collaborators, he left the stadium with a suitcase in hand and, in the presence of journalists, limited himself to saying a brief: "See you later, see you later, see you later", without answering questions about his future.

While River will seek to end the bad streak of results, the coach made it clear, both in private and with his social media post, that he does not consider the possibility of resigning and that his intention is to reverse the current footballing situation of the team.
