A shocking accident occurred in the Buenos Aires town of City Bell, in the La Plata district, when Francisco Roncoroni, 85 years old and former judge of the Supreme Court of Justice of the province of Buenos Aires, lost control of his Volkswagen Taos, crashed through the front of an aesthetics center, and ran over five women who were inside the establishment, although fortunately none of the people involved suffered serious injuries.

The incident took place on Wednesday, just before 6:30 PM, at the aesthetics center Fefi, located on 467 Street, between 135 and 136. At that moment, three employees and a client were inside the store, while another woman approached the entrance. One of the workers stood up to open the door, not imagining that seconds later both would be struck by the former magistrate's vehicle.

The truck crashed through the entrance glass and continued moving to the back of the store, where it also reached the other women present. The violence of the impact caused significant damage to the facilities, including sofas, work tables, chairs, and a coffee table. The only furniture that remained practically intact was the reception counter, as the vehicle passed by one of its sides.

Despite the magnitude of the accident, the five women who were run over and Roncoroni himself emerged unscathed, except for some bruises. So far, the circumstances that led the former judge to lose control of his car are unknown. After the incident, officers from the La Plata Patrol Command, North Base, arrived at the establishment, while the investigation into the damages caused was assigned to Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) No. 15 of La Plata.

Roncoroni has an extensive career within the Buenos Aires Judicial Power. He graduated as a lawyer in 1968 from the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the National University of La Plata (UNLP) and began his judicial career as secretary of the Civil and Commercial Court No. 4 of La Plata, a position he held from 1970 to 1972. Subsequently, he served as a first-instance judge in San Martín and La Plata.

In 1982, he took office as a civil chamber judge and, before reaching the highest provincial court, he was part of the Third Chamber of the First Appeals Court in Civil and Commercial Matters of La Plata. In 2002, he was appointed minister of the Buenos Aires Supreme Court, where he remained until his retirement in 2007. Almost two decades after his retirement from judicial activity, the former magistrate was involved in this accident that caused significant material damage.
