The separation between Cecilia "Chechu" Bonelli and Darío Cvitanich once again took center stage after the strong post that the former footballer published on social media, which quickly became news.
Amid the commotion caused by his reaction, the sports journalist decided to sit down on Puro Show to clarify her position and set boundaries.
"I'm surprised by everything that's happening and I'm tired," Bonelli admitted, visibly affected by the media escalation.
"I need peace of mind. I don't want to keep talking about the subject", she stated, emphasizing that the recent exposure affects not only her but also her three daughters.
The host explained that her main concern is the impact this situation may have on her family.
Chechu Bonelli y Darío Cvitanich estuvieron 14 años juntos"My daughters have social media, they see everything. I need to protect them, protect myself, and take care of my job. I don't want to know anything else", she stressed.
When asked about the messages that Ivana Figueiras, Cvitanich's current partner, posted against her, Bonelli remained on the sidelines: "I haven't received anything. All I want is to be happy and for the other person to be happy too. I don't want any more trouble from any side".
Cecilia Bonelli opened up about the reason she decided to talk about her divorce
Regarding the explosive post by her ex-husband—in which he questioned her statements and even mentioned her mother—Bonelli was sincere: "There was a reaction that wasn't good. All I did was be genuine and share what I was going through. But there are things I can't keep saying because I want to protect my daughters".
The journalist acknowledged that showing vulnerability after the separation may not have been the best strategy: "I don't know if my honesty worked against me. I shared that it was a crappy process and that today I'm fine, whole. But there are issues that don't go over well and I prefer to keep the relationship as healthy as possible".
Amid questions about her role in the separation, Bonelli stood firm: "Guilty of what? I was left. The other person made a decision, it was hard for me to accept it. I worked on it in therapy. I used to come to work feeling awful, with tears in my eyes. Here I am, moving forward."
