The disastrous president of the AFA took part in Picha's award ceremony after his victory over Racing
Less than three weeks after the unusual sanction for the backwards walk past Rosario Central as a peaceful protest against an invented cup, Estudiantes were crowned champions of the 2025 Torneo Clausura in the presence of the person who promoted such injustice: Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia.
The infamous president of the AFA had to swallow his anger and go down to the field to present the medals and the cup to the brand-new champions of Argentine soccer.
Meanwhile, Juan Sebastián Verón, who had to watch the final as just another fan due to his 6-month suspension as club president, spoke briefly with Olé after the match.
First, he congratulated the coaching staff and the players, and then, when asked why Estudiantes were crowned champions after the corridor episode, he was clear: "They found the strength to overcome a moment of something very unfair".
As soon as the match ended, the President of the Nation posted a brief tweet celebrating Pincha's victory: "EdeLP! End.".
This post once again reinforces the president's support for León, the only team in Argentine soccer that openly dared to stand up to the corruption of the AFA.
