Gina Carano reached an agreement with Disney after being fired for criticizing Biden
Carano was dismissed by the film company in 2021 after making her political views known on social media
Years after her dismissal for ideological reasons in 2021 from the successful spin-off series of the Star Wars franchise, The Mandalorian, actress Gina Carano has reached an agreement with Lucasfilm and The Walt Disney Company, thus resolving the legal dispute she had with both companies.
The conflict originated after a social media post by Carano that was interpreted by the Democratic press as a comparison of the United States during the Biden era with Nazi Germany. For this reason, Disney was relentlessly pressured by groups aligned with the then-government to end its working relationship with the actress.
The official statement from Lucasfilm states that the conflict has come to a satisfactory end for all parties. In the statement, the company acknowledges the professionalism and respect with which Carano performed her work and opens the door to possible future collaborations with the actress, something that has taken many by surprise.

The actress thanked Elon Musk.
Carano replied to the agreement through a message on her X account, where she expressed her gratitude and relief at the outcome. She thanked God, her lawyers, and Elon Musk, whom she has previously praised for his defense of freedom of expression on social media.
In her message, the conservative actress was optimistic about her future in the arts and excited to begin a new chapter in her professional life. She ended her post with a "Yes, I'm smiling," revealing a tone of reconciliation and hope.
The original controversy that led to her dismissal began when Carano shared on social media an image with a text that warned about how political hatred from left-wing sectors could escalate to dangerous levels.

Carano relaunched her career after her dismissal.
Disney's dismissal of Carano caused strong backlash from her followers and her castmates, who defended her publicly and questioned the standards of freedom of expression applied by the company.
After her departure from The Mandalorian, Carano partnered with The Daily Wire, with whom she produced and starred in the film Terror on the Prairie, released in June 2022. The film was part of an effort to relaunch her career outside the traditional Hollywood environment.
