A strong police operation made it possible to find Bryan Mathías Espínola Olivieri, the 27-year-old Uruguayan man who had been missing since September 9. He was found in the rural area of Capilla de la Merced, about 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Córdoba's capital. The case had caused significant mobilization in Argentina and Uruguay.
According to Córdoba Police, the young man had arrived in the province on September 6 with the intention of pursuing a job opportunity. Three days later, he informed his family that he would return to Montevideo, but from that moment there was no further contact. The disappearance raised the alarm in both countries.
On September 15, his relatives filed a formal complaint at Judicial Unit No. 4, which triggered the investigation led by prosecutor Ernesto De Aragón. The case involved the intervention of Interpol, which issued a red notice to locate the young man.

The rescue operation
The search included raids, analysis of security cameras, and witness statements. Various police divisions participated, including the Investigations Brigade, DUAR, Canine Division, and Cavalry. More than 100 officers were mobilized to locate Espínola Olivieri.
The final operation took place on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in Capilla de la Merced. The young man was found disoriented and showing signs of physical weakness, according to the official report. After being found, he was taken to Police Headquarters to receive immediate medical and psychological care.
