The Córdoba Justice Department raided the home of Héctor Cardaci, deputy director of the CPC Mercantil, in the Villa Allende Parque neighborhood. The measure is part of the investigation into the clandestine parties known as the "casita del after." The official is not charged, although he is the father-in-law of one of those identified as organizers.
The operation was ordered by prosecutor Liliana Copello as part of three procedures related to the case. Authorities searched the residence for a weapon connected to threats suffered by neighbors who reported the illegal gatherings. A vehicle that was allegedly used for intimidation was also seized.
The incidents under investigation occurred on August 29 and 30, when at least two neighbors were threatened at gunpoint from a car. According to the complaints, the aggressors promised to set homes on fire and shoot at families to stop the complaints. The case is progressing with possible charges in the coming days.

Neighbors report intimidation and cover-up
Neighbors claim that Cardaci may have intervened in complaints made at CPC Argüello, where they say they were discouraged. They reported that, after his entry into the building, they stopped receiving responses from officials. They believe there was an attempt to halt their efforts against the clandestine activity.
The situation caused strong community complaints, since the "casita del after" has accumulated reports for 11 years. In the last 18 months, there have been 15 operations and 14 formal complaints, without achieving a definitive closure. Neighborhood discontent is growing in the face of what they perceive as a lack of response from the authorities.
