Córdoba: Authorities were searching for thieves in the Jardín neighborhood and found a marijuana nursery

The 28-year-old man had 24 plants, 88 seedlings, and derivative products at his home in the southern part of the capital

A 28-year-old man was arrested following a police operation in the Jardín neighborhood, in the south of Córdoba Capital. The officers were inspecting rooftops due to a robbery report when they noticed suspicious plants in a yard. The operation took place at a house located on Cosquín Street at the 1000 block, where the accused resides.

The intervention began after neighbors reported unusual activity on the rooftops of the block. Two officers climbed up to inspect from above, and there they detected vegetation that caught their attention. After ringing the doorbell, the owner, identified as Tulian, voluntarily allowed entry to his home.

Alarm in the southern area over the growth of illegal crops

Residents of the Jardín neighborhood expressed concern about insecurity and the proliferation of these crops.According to police sources, this is not the first case detected in that area so far this year. Police stated that controls will be intensified to prevent these activities from spreading.

The operation, which began as a simple robbery report, ended up revealing a more serious offense. The Public Prosecutor's Office has not ruled out that the case could lead to charges of drug dealing. Authorities reminded that unauthorized cultivation of marijuana remains a criminal offense.
