Córdoba: millionaire family-run drug gang dismantled with delivery-based sales

The operation included several raids and the seizure of drugs, weapons, and money in various areas of the city. There are six detainees

Another drug trafficking family was arrested in Córdoba during an operation against street-level drug dealing by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force with judicial support. The procedure included multiple simultaneous raids at different residences linked to the suspects as part of a federal investigation. Six people from the same family unit were charged with drug trafficking and criminal association after their central role in the organization was confirmed.

The detainees are four men aged 59, 33, 28, and 34, and two women aged 46 and 50. The gang was led by a man who acted together with three of his children. In addition, both the leader and one of the sons already had prior records for drug trafficking in a 2019 federal case.

The FPA intervened in eight homes located in Río Ceballos, Río Segundo, and several neighborhoods in the capital such as Revol, Talleres Oeste, and José Ignacio Díaz.They also operated in Cárcano de Horizonte and Villa Ciudad Evita, where two active distribution points were shut down. According to the force, that last area is highly conflictive and has a strong drug trafficking presence, which increased the risk of the operation.

Two FPA agents in tactical uniforms and bulletproof vests are seen from behind during a nighttime operation in front of a car with police lights flashing in the background.

Operation details and seizure achievements

During the raids, 140 doses of cocaine, 19 of marijuana, a firearm, four vehicles, a sum of $64,821,500 and 107,484 dollars were seized. Precision scales, cell phones, and a significant amount of cocaine ready for delivery were also found.

Additionally, the police showed that the gang carried out door-to-door "delivery" shipments, which allowed for rapid and segmented distribution of the substances. The delivery system involved transportation in private vehicles and telephone coordination with clients. This made both the detection and interruption of the transactions more difficult.
