National macroeconomic balance drives 10.82% growth in the province's tourism occupancy
The province of Córdoba is experiencing an exceptional summer driven by an environment of economic predictability that has attracted more than 2 million visitors. This massive flow of vacationers represents a 10.82% increase compared to the previous year, consolidating the region as the absolute leader in the country. Consumers' confidence in the new national financial direction is translating into unprecedented tourist movement through the mountain valleys.
The economic impact caused by this wave of travelers exceeded $273 billion, injecting vital momentum into the private commercial sector. With a hotel occupancy rate averaging 70.33%, local business owners are celebrating the profitability achieved through effort and free supply. Daily spending per person reached $124,854.77 during this month of January, showing a substantial improvement in people's purchasing power.
The year-on-year comparison reveals that 200,000 additional tourists arrived, confirming that the market is responding positively to clear rules of the game. All regions of the provincial map recorded positive balances, with the Ansenuza area standing out with a year-on-year increase close to 23.8%. Meanwhile, the Punilla Valley and northern Córdoba experienced increases of more than 22%, confirming the success of this cycle of economic opening.

Commercial success in all mountain regions
The city of Córdoba delivered the most spectacular jump of the fortnight by recording an approximate 45% increase in its lodging levels. In the Traslasierra area the increase was 13.97%, while the northwest of the province followed the trend with a solid 12.70% rise. These numbers reflect genuine competitiveness that allows each destination to showcase its natural attractions without depending on government subsidies.
The private sector and the Córdoba Tourism Agency agree that local variety is the engine that keeps the province in first place in the country. Darío Capitani stated: "We are still the most chosen province in the country," emphasizing that 1.2 million have now been added to the 850,000 in December. Popular festivals and regional gastronomy are presented as pillars of a diversified offering that attracts investment and promotes free employment.
The chambers' objective is to close the best season of the decade by taking advantage of the framework of stability that currently exists in Argentina. It is projected that February will maintain this positive momentum thanks to the festivals and the climate of optimism caused by the ordering of public accounts. Córdoba is showing that, with freedom and effort, it is possible to reach record figures that directly benefit the entire productive chain of tourism.
