Córdoba connects with Recife, Brazil: GOL inaugurates a new international route
Córdoba International Airport inaugurated a new international route last Sunday
In a new advancement for the province's air connectivity, the Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella International Airport of Córdoba received last Sunday the inaugural flight of the new direct route connecting the Argentine city with Recife, Brazil.
The brand-new international frequency is operated by the renowned airline GOL Linhas Aéreas and reinforces Córdoba's strategic position as a central air transport hub in the country's interior.
This new connection represents a firm commitment to strengthening ties between Argentina and Brazil, one of the region's main tourist and commercial partners. Additionally, it marks a key step in the goal of consolidating Córdoba as an air gateway to the country, boosting inbound tourism and promoting the decentralization of international travelers' entry, which traditionally concentrates in Buenos Aires.

The president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, Dario Capitani, celebrated this advancement and highlighted the joint work between the public and private sectors to achieve this milestone: "From the provincial government, we work committedly to continue consolidating the Córdoba air hub and the strategy of direct air entry to Argentina through Córdoba."
He added: "This way, we add direct air connectivity with more international destinations so that foreign tourists choose to enter the country through Córdoba and from here continue their journey."

For this new connection, modern Boeing 737 aircraft will be operated, with a capacity for 176 passengers. The flight will depart every Saturday from Recife at 18:15, arriving in Córdoba at 00:05 on Sunday. In the opposite direction, the departure from the Cordoban capital will be on Sundays at 00:55, with an expected arrival in Recife at 06:10 (local times).

This new route adds to the existing ones between Córdoba and other Brazilian cities, significantly expanding connectivity with one of the most relevant outbound markets for Cordoban tourism. It is worth noting that Brazil systematically ranks among the main countries of origin for foreign visitors arriving in the province, attracted by its rich cultural offerings, mountain landscapes, gastronomy, and services.
With this new frequency, Córdoba not only strengthens its position as an interior air hub but also reaffirms its prominence in the national strategy of tourism promotion and economic development through connectivity.
