High temperatures, strong winds, and low humidity conspired to unleash a large-scale fire in the Córdoba mountains that could have been tragic.
The Secretariat of Climate Risk Management, Catastrophes, and Civil Protection, under the Ministry of Security of Córdoba province, reported on Friday afternoon that efforts are underway to combat a forest fire taking place in Quebrada del Condorito National Park.

According to the agency's spokesperson, Roberto Schreiner, the fire apparently started when a vehicle caught fire on the side of the road, which caused it to spread across the area's grasslands.
Due to the location of the fire, preventive evacuations of about 130 visitors who were touring the area had to be carried out, and assistance was also provided to nearly 40 vehicles that were in the potential risk zone.
In addition, with striking images, it was confirmed that the fire affected 14 vehicles parked on the national park grounds.
