Different ministries and entities in the agricultural sector signed a prevention and control agreement

The province of Córdoba formalized an agreement record that brings together the portfolios of Bioagroindustry, Security and Justice along with the Public Prosecutor's Office. This interinstitutional commitment has as its central focus the launch of the Provincial Rural Security Council for the interior of Córdoba. The technical objective of this new entity is to coordinate surveillance strategies that provide a response to incidents reported by local producers.
Under the supervision of the Ministry of Security, the council will seek to optimize the operational resources that the Rural Patrol currently has in the territory. The intention is that coordination between the security forces and the judicial system will allow for much more effective criminal prosecution of unlawful acts. The signing authorities indicated that the geographical extension of the province requires control mechanisms that are adapted to the particular characteristics of each region.
Minister Sergio Busso emphasized that this tool responds to historical requests from rural entities in order to gain predictability in the activity. Meanwhile, Security Chief Juan Pablo Quinteros stated that the initiative will enhance the deployment of specialized police officers. Likewise, Julián López, Minister of Justice and Labor, highlighted that the systematization of investigative work will facilitate a more agile procedural response to rural crime.

Operational measures and participation of agricultural entities
The action plan includes the creation of direct communication channels through messaging groups and radio systems for early warning. It provides for an increase in patrols during time slots identified as critical according to crime statistics from the last annual periods. In addition, the members of the council will carry out quarterly evaluations to analyze the results obtained and adjust preventive surveillance procedures.
The agreement also includes training sessions for producers on the use of technologies applied to the protection of their establishments. The active participation of rural entities will be essential for monitoring the security goals set in this new working framework. Among the functions of the collegiate body, the mitigation of criminal acts stands out through a real strengthening of ties between neighbors and officers.
The signing of the document had the endorsement of CARTEZ, Federación Agraria Argentina, CONINAGRO and the Sociedad Rural Argentina as representatives of the sector. These institutions will support the technical implementation process to ensure that the measures effectively reach all establishments on the provincial map. The council's operability will depend on the fluidity of information exchange between the Judiciary and rural patrol units.
