The Government of Córdoba, through the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services, moved forward during 2025 with a sustained process of digital modernization that included the progressive incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence (BI), and Big Data tools in the management of public works.
The strategy made it possible to improve internal administrative processes, optimize the management of files, certifications, and payments, and digitize key procedures to streamline timelines and reduce margins of error.
La cartera provincial busca consolidarse como un referente nacional en innovación tecnológica aplicada a la gestión pública.
During the last year, new functionalities were incorporated that were linked to data extraction, transformation, and analysis, as well as the design of operational and managerial dashboards with strategic indicators.
The systems for secure access to information and the preparation of structured data for its use in Artificial Intelligence environments were also strengthened.
In parallel, an integral training plan aimed at the Ministry's technical teams was implemented, with the objective of guaranteeing autonomy in data management and promoting the responsible use of AI as a decision-support tool, always under human supervision.
The training instances included spaces for exchange with supplier companies, which made it possible to adjust technological tools to the operational needs of each area.
Greater efficiency in planning and control of works
The application of AI made it possible to move forward in the automation of repetitive tasks and in the optimization of processes linked to public works.
For 2026, the Ministry plans to deepen these tools in the planning and design of infrastructure projects, with the objective of reducing timelines, improving the technical accuracy of the specifications, and optimizing costs.
In addition, the implementation of intelligent monitoring systems is planned that will make it possible to anticipate deviations in deadlines, budgets, or execution quality, together with automated analyses of unit prices and predictive models to assess technical, financial, and environmental risks.
The consolidation of interactive dashboards will make it possible to monitor the main indicators in real time, integrating information from multiple sources, including qualitative variables such as citizen satisfaction.
The Ministry established as guiding principles the transparency of automated processes, the protection of personal data, institutional responsibility, and permanent human control.
Within this framework, the strategy is aligned with international standards such as the ISO/IEC 42001 standard and recommendations from organizations such as UNESCO, the European Union, Canada, NIST, and the OECD in matters of governance and cybersecurity.
During 2026 the integration of the new systems with existing management platforms will continue, guaranteeing interoperability and avoiding data duplication.
With this digital transformation policy, the provincial ministry seeks to consolidate itself as a national benchmark in technological innovation applied to public management, strengthening institutional efficiency and contributing to the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goal 16, which is linked to more effective and transparent institutions.
