The Centro de Almaceneros de Córdoba confirmed that the annual inflation for 2025 finally closed at 31.4%, marking an economic milestone. This figure represents the lowest rate of the last decade and confirms the success of the monetary stabilization plan that was implemented. The slowdown in prices is remarkable if it is compared with the chaos of 2023 , which left an annual rate of 211.4%.
The technical survey indicated that the month of December ended with a monthly increase of 2.26%, consolidating the path of nominal decline. The ordering of public accounts made it possible to stop the inflationary spiral that was threatening to destroy the national peso. Analysts emphasize that this result is the outcome of the non-negotiable fiscal discipline that eliminated monetary issuance to finance the deficit.
IETSE concludes that the decline in inflation was achieved in a context of necessary adjustment that temporarily deteriorated real income. The drop in retail sales reflects the effort that society is making to move along the path toward a normalized and healthy economy.
