The Traffic Accident Prevention Directorate ordered measures and sanctions after the circulation of viral videos that show reckless maneuvers on provincial routes, putting at risk the lives of those who were traveling through the area.
In one of the videos, a white Renault Koleos making illegal overtakes can be seen, in sections with double yellow lines and dangerous curves.
The incident occurred on Sunday, January 11 on Provincial Route 34 (Camino de las Altas Cumbres), between kilometers 77 and 87, in the vicinity of El Cóndor, and it was recorded by another driver.
Based on this evidence, the Traffic Accident Prevention Directorate decided to revoke the driver's license of the registered owner of the vehicle, a 78-year-old woman from the province of San Luis, who also has six prior violations in Córdoba: five very serious ones for speeding and one for lights.
Criminal complaint for reckless driving
Furthermore, a complaint was filed with the Criminal Misdemeanor Court for dangerous driving.
The director of the area, Miguel Rizzotti, contacted his counterpart in San Luis, Alejandro Lara Ferrero, who extended the revocation to his jurisdiction.
The measure was also reported to the National Road Safety Agency, so that it would be entered into the National Traffic Record of Offenses, remaining in force throughout the country.
"The message is clear: for this Ministry of Security, reckless behavior behind the wheel will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We applied the concept of repeat offense, incorporated into the new Provincial Traffic Law, and we will use every legal tool to prosecute and punish these incidents," stated Minister Juan Pablo Quinteros.
The official added that "the new Traffic Law lays the groundwork for incorporating technological tools that were not previously contemplated, and that will make it possible to strengthen the monitoring of behaviors that explain road accidents: speeding, improper maneuvers, blood alcohol content, and other violations that cost us lives."
Sanctions for dangerous motorcycle maneuvers on the Córdoba–Jesús María route
In another viral video, recorded on Friday, January 16 on National Route 9 (Córdoba–Jesús María Highway), between kilometers 735 and 745, a motorcyclist can be seen performing dangerous maneuvers.

Based on the identification of the license plate, the Traffic Accident Prevention Directorate issued fines to the registered owner of the vehicle, an adult woman.
The corresponding sanctions will fall on her for the violations committed, including driving without a helmet, dangerous driving, and other offenses detected in the record.
In addition, a criminal misdemeanor complaint was filed to identify the driver of the motorcycle and to determine, if applicable, the joint liability of the registered owner.
