The province of Córdoba is taking part in FITUR 2026, one of the most important tourism fairs in the world, which is being held from January 21 to 25 at IFEMA Madrid, establishing itself as a key space for the international positioning of destinations, the generation of business opportunities and the strengthening of institutional ties.
The delegation from Córdoba is made up of the president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, Darío Capitani; ACT board member Diego Barbieris; the head of Tourism Products, Leonardo Rodríguez; and the president of the Córdoba Tourism Chamber, Gustavo Peralta, who are part of the Argentine delegation made up of destinations, companies, and authorities from the public and private sectors.
La presencia de Córdoba en FITUR 2026 forma parte de una estrategia sostenida de promoción internacional.
Within the framework of the fair, Córdoba is giving a presentation at Argentina's stand, focused on the duality of the passport between the Camino del Cura Brochero and the Camino de Santiago, a proposal that links religious tourism in Córdoba with one of the most renowned spiritual itineraries worldwide.

In that context, the dual pilgrimage medal was presented, a recognition that symbolizes the twinning of both routes and that is awarded to those who prove that they have covered at least 100 kilómetros (62.1 miles) on each of them.
The initiative has the participation of national authorities, representatives from Galicia, and leaders from Spain's tourism sector, and it is part of the dual certification process that allows pilgrims to complete the experience both in Europe and in Córdoba.
During his time at FITUR, Capitani highlighted the importance of Córdoba's presence on the international stage.
“This space allows us to attract international tourism, to showcase Córdoba as a tourist destination and as an investment opportunity, and to strengthen an agenda linked to air connectivity, the hotel industry, and major events", he said.
"In this context, the Camino del Cura Brochero is a product of international standing, with religious tourism as its epicenter, which combines faith, identity, and development, and allows us to project Córdoba on a global scale at a fair where more than 160 countries are taking part”, he added.
Furthermore, the president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency took part in a discussion on religious tourism organized by CAF, where the growth opportunities of this segment were addressed and the work that the province has been carrying out to diversify its offerings and consolidate products with international projection was highlighted.
Córdoba's presence at FITUR 2026 is part of a sustained international promotion strategy, which also includes the presentation of the schedule of events and competitions planned for the coming years, and the strengthening of air connectivity, one of the central pillars for positioning the province in strategic markets in Europe and worldwide.
