Automotive Tramway Union (UTA) called off the strike planned for this Wednesday after the mandatory conciliation ordered by the National Secretariat of Labor.

The conciliation will begin to apply from 00:00 this Wednesday and will be in force for 15 days, a period during which the parties must resume negotiations and refrain from adopting forceful measures.

"The Ministry of Human Capital, through the Secretariat of Labor, Employment and Social Security, reports that mandatory conciliation has been ordered in the wage dispute between the Automotive Tramway Union (UTA) and the Argentine Federation of Passenger Motor Transporters (FATAP)", stated the official communiqué issued by Human Capital.

In an extortionate manner, the union had announced a forceful measure that was going to leave many passengers on foot, complicating their attendance at workplaces or other obligations.

The strike threat caused concern in various provinces because of the impact on urban and interurban transport service.

With the mandatory conciliation, the bus service will operate normally throughout the interior of the country, while the Government seeks to channel the negotiation between the union and the companies in the sector in order to unblock the wage dispute.
