Córdoba's countryside is aiming for a historic wheat planting.

The agricultural sector replied with investment following the reduction of export duties and the end of government restrictions on the sector

For the first time in years, a national government seems to have understood that for the agricultural sector to produce, it needs fewer obstacles and more freedom.

Córdoba is preparing for one of the most important wheat campaigns in its history: more than 900,000 hectares (2,223,948 acres) sown projected for 2025. This figure not only excites the agribusiness sector, but also marks a significant shift in the relationship between the agricultural sector and the national government.

Measures that set the agricultural sector free

There is no magic or epic narrative behind this historic sowing. There is political will, concrete measures, and clear signals of support for producers.

The removal of export restrictions, the reduction of export duties, and the unified exchange rate have restored predictability and competitiveness to the agricultural sector after years of distortions.

The change in direction is evident: the national government's measures to free the agricultural sector from fiscal and regulatory suffocation are bearing fruit. Today, producers can plan, invest, and sow without the constant uncertainty imposed by the old model. The simplification of procedures, the reduction of the government's burden on the agribusiness chain, and the elimination of export quotas are decisions that are beginning to yield results.

Results that speak for themselves

The record wheat sowing is no coincidence: it is the result of returning to the agricultural sector what should never have been taken away: freedom and respect.

What is happening today in Córdoba is a case in point: if political and ideological barriers against the productive sector are removed, the agricultural sector responds with more investment, more jobs, and more future.
