The curious anecdote of Chapu Nocioni with Facu Campazzo in a restaurant in Madrid
The former member of the Golden Generation was on Germán Beder's show and recounted an episode involving the current Real Madrid player
Andrés Nocioni recalled a hilarious anecdote from his time at Real Madrid, when he was teammates with Facundo Campazzo.
In a relaxed chat on the program "Desde el Respeto" on Vorterix, the former Argentine National Team forward recounted how the Cordoban point guard, in a situation that started as a game, ended up losing his wedding ring during an outing to a restaurant.
Nocioni y su anécdota con Campazzo
"Give me the ring, I'll put it in the glass with the gin and tonic. When you drink, it hits your teeth and you refill the glass. When I came back, they had pushed the tables together. You know he lost my ring," the former player said. What started as a joke among friends ended in an unexpected problem.
Faced with the mishap, Chapu found himself in an awkward situation, as he had to find a way to explain to his wife, Paula, why he no longer wore the wedding ring on his finger. Determined to avoid a direct confession, he opted for a quieter solution. He contacted the jeweler who had designed the original ring and asked him to make an exact replica.

But the story didn't end there. Just a day before receiving the new ring, he experienced an even more unusual episode. "The day before the ring arrived, we went out with Facu (Campazzo) and went to a terrace where we had to take off our shoes to sit on the couches."
Then Chapu added: "He grabbed my shoes and threatened to throw them. At that moment, it came from my soul to say: ‘Look Facundo, then you'll have the ring incident...’ I stopped there, but Paula is very quick and said: ‘Where's the ring?’," Chapu recounted.
At that moment, Paula suspected something was wrong and acted quickly. She put on her shoes, took a taxi, and without further words, took Nocioni's house key and wallet.
The result: Chapu was stranded in Madrid, without belongings and unable to access his car, which was stored in a garage.
