Daniel Radcliffe (36) and Tom Felton (38) marked an entire generation with their portrayals of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy in the iconic saga based on the books by J.K. Rowling.
For more than a decade, they shared film sets, promotional tours, and premieres around the world.
However, after the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2011, their professional paths went in different directions and they were not seen together in public again... until now.
On December 1, to everyone's surprise, both actors reunited on the red carpet at the Hudson Theatre in New York.
A special performance of Merrily We Roll Along took place there, the play that Radcliffe starred in years ago during one of his theater seasons.
People magazine captured the exact moment when the two stars crossed paths, hugged enthusiastically, and began to chat animatedly, like old friends picking up an unfinished conversation.
The detail that made the video "magical" was a very particular moment: just as Felton touches Radcliffe's shoulder to greet him, the theater lights go out, sparking the imagination of fans, who did not hesitate to talk about "signs," "synchronicity," and "pure Potterhead magic."
Within minutes, the brief clip went viral and social media was filled with excited comments. Among the most notable:
"The way Dan jumped into that hug, I love them."
"Draco was happy, I know it."
"I wanted to see the full reaction and the lights go out! They're ruining the magic for me."
"They didn't just work together, they're real friends."
The unexpected reunion rekindled the affection for a duo that, beyond the eternal rivalry between their characters, always maintained a warm relationship off camera.
Just a few weeks ago, Tom Felton made his Broadway debut, once again playing Draco Malfoy in the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Several members of the former cast went to support him, but Radcliffe had been notably absent, which sparked curiosity among fans.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Felton dispelled any speculation: "I saw him in his first show more than ten years ago. For me, he was always an inspiration to come to Broadway", he said with admiration.
His words moved Radcliffe, who was later invited to the same program and replied affectionately: "It's crazy. Tom is older than me, he was always the cool guy. It's amazing that he considers me an inspiration. It's very sweet.".
