The actor surprised on the red carpet by appearing with assistance to walk after undergoing emergency surgery weeks earlier.
For the occasion, he chose an elegant black tuxedo with shiny details and a matching bow tie, while naturally holding the crutches during his walk down the red carpet.
For her part, María Irigaray wore a sophisticated long dress in nude tones with sparkle, a structured corset, and feather details on one shoulder, accompanied by a small silver clutch.
On Instagram, both shared a joint post that quickly filled with messages from celebrities in the entertainment world and thousands of fans who congratulated them on their participation in the gala, despite the scare they experienced a few days ago.
It is worth remembering that the actor was invited to the awards ceremony because during 2025 he was the host of Viralizados, a show broadcasted by América Tv. The proposal aimed at family entertainment based on the funniest and most viral videos from the internet.
Although he still needs support to move around, the former member of Married with Children made it clear that he is undergoing a favorable recovery.
Darío Lopilato was one of the figures that attracted the most attention during the red carpet of the 2026 Martín Fierro Awards. The actor arrived at the Hilton Hotel accompanied by his girlfriend, actress María Irigaray, but surprised everyone by appearing with crutches and a orthopedic boot on one of his legs.
Despite appearing cheerful and in good spirits in front of the cameras, many wondered what had happened to him and why he still needed assistance to walk.
The answer dates back to April 1, when it was revealed that the actor had to undergo emergency surgery after suffering an unexpected accident while playing soccer.
According to reports at that time, Lopilato was hospitalized at the Zabala Clinic, located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, where various tests were conducted to assess the severity of the injury.
Finally, the doctors confirmed that he had suffered a fibula fracture, which is why they decided to operate on him surgically to ensure a proper recovery.
Far from hiding the process he is going through, Darío Lopilato decided to attend the ceremony organized by APTRA and appeared almost recovered.
