Dead by Daylight has confirmed a new DLC with Stranger Things, and everything indicates that Vecna will be the next Killer

Dead by Daylight will cross paths again with Stranger Things. According to confirmation from Behaviour Interactive, the horror game will release a second official DLC inspired by the Netflix series.

The news comes amid high expectations for the premiere of the fifth season, which further amplifies the impact of this new partnership.

Stranger Things returns to Dead by Daylight

The first crossover between both brands debuted in 2019, but it was removed in 2021 due to the expiration of the license. However, the complete bundle returned to the store in November 2023 and remains available today.

For 1,500 Auric Cells, players can add Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler, and the fearsome Demogorgon, each with their own perks and abilities.

The big news: Vecna would be the new playable Killer

The official Dead by Daylight on X account posted a teaser confirming the release of Stranger Things Chapter 2. The preview suggests that Vecna will be the protagonist of the DLC.

The inclusion of the villain paves the way for a Killer focused on telepathy and mind control.

Will there be new Survivors? Hopper and Joyce, the favorites

If the model of the first crossover is repeated, it's likely that the new chapter will add two Survivors. The most talked-about names are Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers, since the younger characters from the series would be ruled out due to the violent nature of the game.

A new map could also be added. In 2019, the underground Hawkins laboratory arrived; this time, fans are speculating about iconic locations such as the Creel House or Vecna's lair.

When the new DLC is coming out and what to expect

The second crossover between Dead by Daylight and Stranger Things will arrive in January 2026, coinciding with the conclusion of the final season.
